The annual award is also named by G-Mark,
better known as The Good Design Award.
An eco-prize is also presented here

The international design prize had this
year 2.945 items submitted and will probably
give you some greater insight of what´s moving
in contemporary Japanese packaging design.

Smirnoff is taking a new street with the new concept "Smirnoff Ten" which is .. - yes ten people who`s getting the opportunity to travel around the world haunting the best party on Tellus.
The vodkacompany
is about to make these ten report to the website, write blogs and picture/cam documentation from the adventure. They have also managed to get a deal with Youtube to advertise this event while the show is going on. Pure faith to the power of the internet to say it that way. The "fx`ed candy in the eye"- advertising film is made by JWT New York, production: Paranoid US, Visual Effects: Def2shoot-Paris, Sound Design: Final Mix: 750 mph. London. See the adfilm here. OLD NEWS

This ad from Sony, showed how it´s supposed to be done. People are mostly not interested in advertising as you can see on the postboxes all around. But this one had an impact in most peoples minds the first days and more on the telly. I like this as the other ad (balls) more like an artistic expression.


The facts, in case you did not know already:

*Production 2007.

*Made by Fallon advertising agency.

*Directed by Jonathan Glazer.

*The sequence itself is made in one singel take with 330m. of steelpipes, 70.000 liters of paint and 1700 explosive units.

*It took 250 people working 10 days for preparations and 60 people in 5 days to clean up all the water based paint.

*The buildings was empty old working class blocks ready for termination in Toryglen outside Glasgow. Built 1967.

*The vocalist of Simple Minds, a big band from the eighties moved in on 11th floor in one of these blocks 8 years old. He was still living there at 22 and it was on the kitchentable in this 3 room apartment he wrote the breakthrough album «New Gold Dream»

More facts:

*Production 2005.

*Directed by Danish director Nicolai Fuglsig.

*It was used 250,000 multi-coloured 'superballs' bouncing down the streets of San Francisco for the sequence.

* The song used in the ad is the 27 year old José González's version of «Hearbeats»
- originally performed by Swedish band, The Knife. Some people says that it was the
tune combined with Sony that made his big breakthrough into the spotlight of "commercial"record-buyers.

BUY WHAT ?

(Product) Red™ is red as anger. If you do not know about Product Red check out the official site. In the big term the concept is a group of companies putting out Red branded products that help raise money to fight AIDS. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of (Product) Red merchandise will be used to distribute antiretroviral medicine to people dying of AIDS in Africa. The GAP is on board and one is shown above : Penelope Cruz wearing a Red shirt. Apple, Nike, American Express and other have put out limited run products - typically Red to help raise money for this cause. The idea is maybe good for some people and other may say that in the end buying all this products,- more buying in the end will fall back on our run-downed planet and our grand sons and doughters. But one thing is for sure, the Red iPod Nano is particularly cool. So if you think you`re a politically minded t-shirt wearer than maybe the Gap shirts are the thing for you. Otherwise I recommend to visit this sites:International Federation of Red Crescent Societies|WFP ( World Food Programme )|ACT| FAO ( Food And Agriculture Organization Of The United Nations )|UNHCR ( The UN Refugee Agency )|and make a donation without getting anything in return. But then you are on to something good for yourself and others. Seen from a creative communicative view this is surely a strong and good way to make the consumers "buy" themselves a good consciousness and red piece and all the image that comes with it. It`s no doubt. It`s trendy.

drkcph.typo/logo


Made for Leo Burnett Copenhagen 2006. Case : remake of the allready existing logotype (see.pdf-case on Leo B. Copenhagen webpage). The challenge was to create a neew breed of the old existing Logotype and at the same time not make distance to the early version. It was important to Danish Red Cross to communicate DESIGNERTØJ ( Eng. designerclothes ) and in the same breath said drkcph (danish redcross copenhagen) .

PARIS. THE CITY THAT NEVER SLEEPS.
The 28th of april I´m going to Paris. Expectations ... yes indeed ! First, I haven´t been there since I was 3 years old. Second, one of my very best friends live there now and last am I very interested in architecture, design and art. What about the "Paris Syndrome" as people like to call it when you`ll see asians and (of course) other tourists fallen to sleep everywhere all around the city because of too many sigths, canaltrips, exhibitions, famous and not so famous buildings, kissing couples, parklife, lonely planet - restaurants, montmartre - like markets, dollhouses, designershops, streetcafés, sculptures, jazzconcerts and so on. These tourists are so hanged up in the neverending "what to see" lists and big expectations that the exhaustion and stress in the end make them collapse. What is it with this beautiful metropol making us ground the floor after a couple of days on track ? Anyway, I´m looking forward to visiting the city and until then I´ll try not to heighten my expectations.
For me Paris is in my mind ; croissants, good coffé, red light district, entertainment, design, fashion, art, (one of the nicest represented in the world) - architecture, studentriots, romantic Montmartre, suburban culture on it`s best, sleeping asians and Citroën cars. What is Paris to you ?

Thumbnail / detail of the latest selfpromoting object.
The idea is to make a kind of visitcard which has three
fold - ins ( simple cd sleeve foldouts ). The visual aspect
reflects a different wiew, seen from another country, a
two sided kind of attitude and mind, rougher and more
accurate dirty style. The foldercard is made to fit into
mini-cd which is about 3.4x3.4 inches.
Inside it`s a mini-cd with samples of my best work
for now and movieclips/radio-ads.
